Our monthly feature, Cool Girl, began over a decade ago as the passion project of our founder Carrie Atkinson. And while the sentiment of the blog will remain true to its origins, we want to acknowledge and respect that there is a spectrum of gender identities that deserve to be featured, and we’re making a change from Cool Girl to Human of the Month.

Our DASC Judges: New Avenues for Youth!
Every year, we ask some incredible humans to be the judges for our Design-A-Sock Contest. This year, we wanted to work with people who we felt aligned with the contest’s theme of Unity. A Sock It to Me employee mentioned New Avenues for Youth, and as soon as we looked them up, we knew they were the ones.

Our founder, Carrie, created the contest to give our fans a chance to participate in the design process.
