Gotta sit back and unwind!” Summer buzz is in full swing here at the Sock It To Me headquarters and we got to talking about all our fav things for the season! Although your feet MIGHT be in (ahem) sandals… we know you can never go too long before you need some socks! The summer makes us want to throw on our cutest Sock It To Me’s, jump on our bikes, hike up that mountain, and keep our toes warm by the campfire.

I love summertime! It’s my favorite season. I guess I’m kind of lazy, because my favorite thing in the world is hanging out in my hammock (preferably with a good book, a cold Arnold Palmer, and maybe even a dog or two) and enjoying the sun-dappled shade under the maple tree in my backyard. The reason I would love to win the socks is because here in Colorado, we’re at a high enough altitude that when the sun goes down, the air often takes on a bit of a chill, even though it’s otherwise pleasant. Having some super cute socks to keep my tootsies warm while hanging out in my hammock during the post-sun but pre-night part of evening would be fantastic! Plus, they’re just such dang cute socks!
My favorite thing about summer is listening to all the kids laugh and have fun now that they are out of school. Sounds corny I know but during the school year and cold months, which are abundant in Portland, they hide away and the neighborhood is too quiet! Plus then I get to play neighborhood cool mom. I always have popsicles and video games at the ready for my kids as well as any others they bring by.
Winning this would be great because my sock wardrobe really needs some fun prints for summertime. I love wearing knee highs or otks with my skirts & shorts all summer long!

My favorite part of summer is getting to spend more time with my family. I also enjoy swimming and getting to eat lots of ice cream, drinking plenty of lemonade, and munching on some juicy watermelon; all to keep cool during the hot summer months. Socks are awesome anytime and I wold love to add some more to my collection!
My favorite things about summer are trips to the beach, camping, sun-kissed skin and the smell of rain on hot pavement. Reminds me of my childhood in Arizona!
I love the smell of summer most. There are all these wonderful familiar waves of scents that catch you at different times in the season.
They surprise you. The lilacs, the fresh cut grass, the early evening rain, the smell of street fairs & food trucks, hot sunny breezes, mossy dirt smells in the shade.
Shoot! All of it makes me crazy happy!
And pairing a fun summer sock with a cute skirt or a pair of showy shorts puts a spring in a lady’s step!
Actually, socks always inform my mood…that’s why it’s always good to wear something interesting even if no one can see it!

My favorite thing about summer is the sunshine! I am all about DIY projects and I have them piling up and waiting for some dry weather. I also love that my daughter is home to help me make all sorts of messes with painting furniture and gardening failures.
