SITM Weathers the Storm!

Ahh the days of summer are quickly coming to an end!  Luckily, here in Portland, the weather hasn’t realized it yet, and it’s blue skies ahead for us.  But we did take a break from the BEAUTIFUL outdoors to see that our new East Coast friends aren’t quite as lucky!

Although we’re typically the ones with the crummy conditions, our East Coast friends are having a CRAZY week for weather!  First, an earthquake then a hurricane and now a tropical storm!  Here’s to hoping that Lee passes by smoothly and safely!

In the meantime, since us Portlanders are no strangers to bad weather, we thought we’d send along some friendly advice for riding out the storm in style! Our Sock It to Me’s are the PERFECT accessories to a rainy day outfit!

It’s no secret that in Portland we don’t like to carry umbrellas as an actual accessory, but we LOVE to accessorize with these Right as Rain socks!  Pull on a pair under some rain boots, or brave the weather in some flats!

 

Or if you’re cooped up inside all day because of the rain, kick off your shoes, grab some coffee, and cozy up on the couch with some of our comfy styles! We recommend the Crafty or Calfinated socks!

And when the rain seems like it’s NEVER going to stop, we like to throw on a pair of the Rainbow or Bicycle socks to reminds us of the days of sunshine and spending time outside!  Where did the summer go?!

 

One silver lining among all the dark clouds to come – lazy, rainy days are the perfect times for an impromptu photo shoot.  Grab some friends and see how many different ways you can dress up your own Sock It to Me’s and send some pictures our way! We’d LOVE to see them!
